About

Lacking in Both
Envy & Labs

Really good at building web applications. Really bad at talking about ourselves.

Four developers founded Envy Labs back in the summer of ‘09. We’re a small team, on purpose: Software is our passion, not growth management. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to bootstrap a successful startup and make an impact in our local tech community.

What’s in a name? There’s a story behind Envy Labs, but it’s easier to cover in conversation.

Our Team

95% people, 5% snacks and coffee. These are the friendly faces you’ll see on weekly calls and code commits.

Values + Culture

Mission, vision, values: The building blocks we’ve relied on to attract a good group of people who do good work.

  • Foster Education

Our team, our clients, prospects, students, future hires, random passersby — the best way to learn technology is to teach.

  • Pursue Excellence

A product exit reaffirmed why we open our laptops in the morning: Tackling tech problems that change someone’s world is our happy place.

  • Practice Transparency

The top ten indicators of success for a software build? Communication, ten times. Open and honest conversation keeps the ship steady.

  • Create Fun

Creativity doesn’t thrive in a crunch. We’ve built a culture that doesn’t take itself too seriously and avoids unsustainable hustle.

Betterment

Whether there’s a new service to test or an itch to scratch, we provide team members with dedicated learning time (dubbed betterment).

Hybrid

Want to join us in our Orlando office? Can’t wait to see you. Prefer the remote life? That’s great, too. We’ve been flexible since day one.

Testimonial

Envy has been a model client for us. Their ability to distill complex concepts into clear, engaging stories in their marketing is unmatched.

Community

Counting team members, friends, clients, and mentors, we owe a great deal to our community. Envy Labs has joined, founded, or sponsored groups like:
