CAT Rental Store

Late last year we started doing work with Caterpillar Inc, specifically on the CAT Rental Store. Caterpillar wanted to provide dealerships with an online portal allowing customers to easily find their closest rental store, look at the equipment available for rent, and easily get in touch with a sales person.

We designed and developed the new CAT Rental Store website.

Some of the components of the website include:

  • A Complete Mobile Web Design
    Our lead designer Jason VanLue created a mobile friendly version of the website. Just try navigating to catrentalstore.com with your mobile phone to try it out.
  • Internationalization
    Caterpillar has rental stores all over the world, so one of the first things we implemented after launch was internationalization. The Cat Rental Store is now available in 11 languages.
  • Multi-tenant Access
    Since each dealership has a page on the CAT Rental Store we had to create a system which allowed these dealers control over only their dealership pages.
  • Integration with CAT equipment XML feeds
    Caterpillar had a huge database of equipment, so we created an automated process which pulls in all their equipment and makes it available for dealers to display on their rental pages.
